plant-based (62% Castor Beam Oil)
recommended 3-4 months

USDA Certified Biobased Product, Green America Certified Business, Vegan, BPA-Free, Natural & Non-toxic.
Compostable Kraft paper box & plant-based compostable wrapper.
The handle is made entirely out of wild, organic, sustainably grown & harvested bamboo. No pesticides or fertilizers are used in growing it. When a mature stalk is harvested, another bamboo stalk takes its place, reaching maturity within 2 years. At the end of its lifespan (recommended 3-4 months), the handle may be composted and it biodegrades in 6 months, but with a bit of creativity can be upcycled into something useful for the house or the garden.
Brush With Bamboo’s bristles are composed of 62% Castor Beam Oil, being USDA certified. They are bio-based, but still not biodegradable. Brush With Bamboo team is working towards 100% biodegradable bristles, but at the present moment there are no better plant-based alternatives available.
Brush With Bamboo is a complete ecological product. That being said, the wrapper that protects the brush is made from plants and the outer box is made from paper. The PLA is a bioplastic, thus it’s compostable in special facilities (not in nature), while the box is biodegradable and fit for recycling.
This ecological and ethical toothbrush has the same life cycle of a plastic one (recommended 3-4 months). All it needs is to be stored in a dry area. Closed cups that hold water are not recommended, as water infiltrates in the handle and may lead to the overall degradation of the toothbrush.
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on Earth. Because it contains naturally-occurring antimicrobial agents, there is no need in using pesticides or fertilizers during its growth. The bamboo used is 100% organic & wild. Every stalk harvested is replaced by a younger one, which grows to full size in just 2 years.
